"If a bank loan is obtained, it must be made clear that SMG as a whole will not be responsible for any defaulting by SMG Glasgwo on repayment. This can be easily be done, and personal guarantees for the loan arranged"

Oct 76 Correspondence between Peter Cowan & reply from Michael Mason Ed. Gay News. Re misunderstandings in a report by Ian Dunn published in GN. "SMG buy premises in Glasgow". Re: In process of buying premises, SMG has not bought £600 disco equipment, it was bought by a member, Shiela MacAskill resigned after bereavement then was reinstated, the former quoted in GN. Names of 2 full-time emplyees not to be published: they had been withheld from GN then appeared in Gay Week.

31 Aug 76 Letter clarifies that Malcom bought the £600 disco equipment: agreement betweeen him & SMG states that he is to be paid for each use £10, travelling expenses and mainenance costs.
